| Detailed Description: | I am organizing a kids duathlon (run/bike) race to promote youth fitness and support a local youth development center, The Caring Place, in Allentown, PA. In addition to the race, I have organized a team of awesome volunteers/coaches from the area to help kids train for our event. As an overweight child, I learned first hand how difficult it is to cope with obesity. I am doing my part now to fight obesity in our young people and I need your help. The Caring Place is building an awesome kitchen to help inner city youth to learn how to cook and eat healthier food. Many of these kids are eating unhealthy processed foods. The Caring Place will offer kids age appropriate culinary skills training and support teens and young adults with education that may launch them into a career in the restaurant business or inspire them to attend culinary school. Please consider helping us by donating some hula hoops and/or fitness equipment to help kids to move more. Your donation would not only help kids to be motivated to move, but we will also be able to raise money from your raffle donation that would appeal to this group.
